She aims to empower women of all ages with the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their personal healthcare, including irregular periods, premarital exams, family planning, birth control options, and menopause, to mention just a few. Her approach emphasizes both the physical and emotional well-being of each individual under her care, including mental health support. Deena looks forward to building trusting relationships and making a positive impact in the lives of women and families she serves within our community.

Mission

As a Certified Nurse-Midwife in Logan, Utah, D’Anne works with the classic midwifery model. She bases her practice on the knowledge that most pregnancies, labor, and births are normal biological processes and results in healthy outcomes for both mother and baby.

D’Anne focuses on the health and wellness of both the woman and her baby. She identifies and manages medical problems early on and attends to the emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of pregnancy and birth. During the birth process, D’Anne seeks to protect, support, and avoid interfering in the unique rhythm, character, and timing of each woman’s labor.  However, she is also trained to be vigilant in identifying serious complications and seeking care from the appropriate medical care provider.  Medical intervention and expertise are sought when necessary, but are not routine.
